Good deal. Just saying that weddings can bring out the truth in people that they may have been un-knowingly hiding.
Personally, I got married on the beach in Florida and it cost me $300. I wouldn't change a thing and she wouldn't either.

Also, I married a jewelry saleswoman, so I had to spend more than I wanted on a ring.
But not too bad, I had a hood up.

Colorado is amazing. I love the mountains out there. You better go skiing when you're up there Corey! I went skiing in Aspen a few years ago and it was the best time I've ever had.

Yep I love it up there, Get this, last year when we went up there during the summer. We stopped at Vail to get something to eat and stuff... While eating in the resort, there was a Janitor type guy polishing the trash can lids with a buffer...

Just my opinion however, but she never saw the ring until it was on her finger. Good luck though!! Congrats!!

My wife had some input on the ring, but not the exact one I bought. I agree to a certain extent. My wife is a country girl, and didn't want anything too flashy or fancy or breakable with her working with the horses and such. In fact, she wanted her horse trailer before she wanted the wedding ring, lol.

But some women just have their dream wedding already planned in their minds. Luckily my wife was not that way, we had a very simple country wedding planned and that was good cause we had to pay for it, it was in April this year, AND its already paid off.

Good luck with it though, it can be stressful if you let it, your GF probably has most of the stuff already planned out in her head anyways, so let her run with it. My wife did the same thing after the first time we REALLY talked about getting married. Next thing I know there were wedding books all over.

OH, and one more bit of advice that I'd like to add. I know most guys take the just tell me when and where to show up.. I did that with my first wedding, although I was kinda forced out of the planning.

With my current wife, I was right in the big middle of the planning. Make sure the wedding and plans are things that you BOTH want. You both have to live with this. As for us, we had a very country wedding/reception, in an old dance hall/saloon that only does special events now. It wasn't very expensive, but if you know us, it fit us to a T. It makes it alot more fun when its something that both of you enjoy and can share in.

lol she'll want to get married in dec. next. you did the right thing with the ring I made sure i spent more on her ring than an part of my truck. That way when she tells me your going to spend that much on something useless. I take her left hand and put it in her face and smile and say yes. lol
