Default Short block assembly

Posting here too, cause I know some of you bastards only check the southern section

What kind of assembly lube do I need to use? Im realdy to start putting the pistons in, and realised I didnt think of this. Do I just need a thin coat of oil like doing a cam swap, or use the old school lube?

This isnt a new build, just a piston/rob/bearing swap

I use The wal-mart version of KY lube when I wanna kill a kitten.
Most builders use assembley lube on friction surfaces, but some use motor oil.

Id use assembly lube just to be safe. There is a key word "assembly."

If your gonna build it and run it without letting it sit for a while just use oil.
