I've been eyeballing the level 3, looks to be what I need for an every now and then track trip.

if you think you need a lvl 3, get the 4... if you think you need a lvl 4, get a 5... if you think you may need anything more? get a mildly built 80e and fugettabouutit.....

I run a vacuum modulated FLT level 5 65E behind my cam/nitrous 5.3

from what I understand, the level 3 is pretty much a stock rebuild with a shift kit and a few other performance parts added... I'd get something a little sturdier if you want to want to take it to the track... Just speaking from experience here... I've killed 6 tran's... I I end up breaking parts in this one, its on to an 80E for sure... Its gotten to the point where I hate getting under it to swap a trans.... just do yourself a favor and learn from other ppl's experiences and problems.

I really want to get all the supporting mods ordered, tranny built/bought and then I'll get around to the engine swap. I've got a big to-do list and a long road ahead it loosk like, I'm patient..if it takes until next year to get everything done then so be it.

All I kow is my UPS delivery girl is gonna be pissed in the next week or so....lol

Where in Tn are you? There's a couple of 6.0s in the Chattanooga area that I know of.

Bigkountry the number/guy I gave you for a tranny. Has done many f bodies to stand behind. And has two trucks putting atleast 400 down, me and The wood Hauler. For his price and obviously the these two trucks you cant go wrong and IMO or your mild performance needs.

Im spraying on mine to get over hte 400 mark. Spraying out of the hole with a 125 shot on slicks and through the shifts.
The woodhauler is an all motor 408!

Yeah I still have the number saved, thanks for that!

On another note, I ordered my cam and springs amongst other things yesterday. What are you guys using for retainers and locks? Would I be good with the stockers?

If it makes any difference, I ordered the TR220-918 spring-TR pushrod combo. I just want to get everything here so I can do it all at once.

The springs and header bolts I ordered are back ordered at the moment so if I need to add anything to my order, I'm sure I can.

Another thing real quick.

Alot of you are running the ASP pulley's I see. Do I need the crank pulley or the crank and alternator pulley combo.

Do you see a decrease in amps due to these pulley's? I thought I read that I would need a higher amp alternator for some reason?

with just the crank pulley you may see a drop at idle... with the alt/crank combo your charging will be normal...
