You must be nervous about something. I see cops "looking" at me every time I drive past them, when I'm parked, and when I'm simply walking outside. However, it has never crossed my mind that they "are watching me". I've got nothing on me to worry about in case they ever want to stop and talk to me. My military career would be in jeopardy if I ever do something stupid. I'm not saying you've done something wrong...it just seems like you're nervous. Cops have to be observant and look around alot. They would miss alot of stuff if they were not observant. Leave them alone....they're doing their job.

You don't understand. Yes, I'm nervous because of what's already happened and what's has been said. I was arrested and taken to jail for a robbery that never happened. I was minding my own business and there were many witnesses to testify to that. Now I've been told I was going to get a ticket for violations that other people commit. Is it a cops job to give tickets to people who didn't do anything wrong? What do you mean leave them alone? I'm not burnin rubber to chase them or cutting people off to get behind them then follow them around the block. They do that to me all the time. They have followed me all around town several times until I stopped and turned off my truck. And you think I'm messin with them?

i wouldn't worry about it if i were u. if u obey the law ur fine. I drive up and down a street in town on the weekends here in town and 20+ times ill pass a cop but im not worried cuz im obeying the law. if u live in a border town i dont blame them, and more than likely u can point to illegal immigrants for the tightened watch. if u are hispanic or any other ethnicity besides white u could try to get them for profiling. sad but true.

I've been told that it's because I look like a little troublemaker. It sucks that what you look like can dictate how people treat you. Here's a pic of me and my brother in law. We're both hispanic, but to everybody else it's a chinese guy and a black guy.
My Dad's family is nothing but hispanic and white, but it doesn't show in me. My first day in town, a cop stopped me walking and asked what I was doing here, where I came from and when am I leaving. Then he said that somebody has been stealing stuff on the other side of town and he was wondering if I did it. Like I said, I don't even have one ticket on my record, but they chase me around town and accuse me of stuff all the time. Do cops need a reason to aggresively pursue you? Or can they just do it to anybody they feel like? I'm talkin pedal floored and leaving marks and coming within a foot or so of my bumper.

video tape them tailgating you, doing burnouts and cutting off others. Once you have a nice collection of several instances, turn them in and remind them that you have copies.

Why not go down to the police station and ask to speak to the Chief of Police. Not to rag on him about his cops but tell him, "you know what I've noticed I've been followed and harassed a bit so was wondering if there's anything I can help you with or maybe answer some questions, I'm obviously on some kinda surveillance or something so here I am." I'm not sure what the legal jargon is but no they do not have a right to harass you and "stock" you. They need a reason or motive or else they can be persecuted just like the rest of us. They aren't above OUR law, not theirs.

Good idea, I think I'm gonna do that Spoolin. Do I have the right to know if I'm under surveillance for something? I don't have anything to hide, I'll let them come search my house or whatever. It's embarassing to be followed like this in town all the time. Do I have the right to pull over and ask the cop why he's following me?

Last time I tried to get a lawyer(when I got arrested), I was turned down by 5 lawyers. One even told me straight up "you're gonna get fucked". The others just told me they wouldn't take the case after they heard what the charge was, but before they heard the facts. So a lawyer is gonna be a last resort.

I'm not sure if they will tell you the reason why your being followed, you'd have to ask a lawyer about that. However, I wouldn't approach a cop next time your followed based on the premise that if they are following you because you are suspicious and you get out of your car and approach them, they might see that as an aggressive move and might actually take you down. From personal experience cops don't like it if you get out of your car without being asked(when pulled over) or approach their car, makes them nervous at which point they have a right to use physical force. (when a cop feels he is threatened he may take action to defend himself. I was gonna suggest the search of the house thing as well but wasn't sure if that was your cup of tea or if you actually had some stuff you wouldn't want them to see, etc...
