well, my truck was damaged in the katrina mess and so was my house.
long story short, the insurance cut me a check for 3500. total work is only going to take 2000. i can't get the rest back so help me spend the 1500 but wisely.
here is what i want. keystone goodhood flipper cowl induction. cheapest i have seen it is 799
eurothane roll pan for a step side. cheapest i can find is like 175 also i want one with the flip up tag thing.
tahoe grill. haven't looked for a price on it yet.
i think that should do about a 1000 worth right there. or maybe a little more.
but can someone give me some ideas on some other things i can do while it's in the shop. the guy is going to make a seemless rollpan and said he has done it to a lot of stepsides with no cracks a year or two later.
last thing.
i am going to change the color from white to copperhead pearl. the same color as the truck on that tv show trucks. let me know what you think. or give suggestions on other colors and try to show me the color if you can.

I would go with a differnt hood. Somthing cheaper so you can make your money stretch farther. I like the Goodmark steel cowl hoods myself. You can get one for about 300 bucks less than that keystone hood. But if your heart is set on it then get that one. Woulnt be a bad idea to get some escalade handles too since you'll be dressing up the outside. Been a while since i've seen your truck so I cant remember what all is done to the outside. Billet antenna? Billet bowtie for the grill?Billet step plates for the stepbed?
and dont forget to get some diamond tip gold plated curb feelers Yo

yea you bring up a good point randy. if i step down to a regular cowl hood for 300 something i can get those other parts you mentioned and make the truck look better in other areas. i do have a billet bowtie for the grill. handles are painted now and will stay that way probably but i'll look into the esky handles...just more ideas. damn. i don't have enough time to do all this in one day. lol

If you like the look of the straight cowl on the flipper hood vs. the rounded on the goodmark you could look at the east coast customs cowl hood. It has the straight back cowl design, just no flipper. It is less than the flipper hood at $495. Just a thought.

Do you have a painted bumper cap? What about the valance? When I had most of my exterior painted, I also had them spray the stock wiper cowl and it came out great.

my bumper cap is painted and will get repainted along with the lower valence.
i have already started thinking about going with a reg cowl induction hood or the ss style vice the flipper.
