I had a friend buy a brand new '00 4wd and at 50k miles the tranny blew. He raised hell w/ the dealer and the supposidly (sp?) payed for half. It still cost him $1500.

Am I the only guy who has 135k miles on 2 NBS trucks with no major problems? My '00 Z-71 has only had a couple of injectors, rear disc pads, battery, and rear axle seals replaced. My '02 has had only the rear disc pads and tranny rear main seal replaced, everything else is still great.

I don't keep anything long enough to get anywhere near there. The most miles I had was 55K on a Mustang(in a wreck), then 35K on the next Mustang, then 18K on my 03.

grrrrr thought i scored a free transmission, but its ending up costing me 1000 still a hell of a deal for a brand new transmission+install but free made me feel better .

i went and saw what i did to my old transmission. cooked band, burnt 3-4 clutch and cracked output shaft when i do it i do it right. the guy installing my new transmission is transfering my vette servo and installing a Trailblazer stall behind the service managers back so ill be back stronger than before. ill try and not rip on the new transmission until i get a shift kit and tranny cooler....just cant wait to get my baby back
