You you had the heads resurfaced because they were warped a bit but you didnt mill them a ton to yeild some compression did you? You have a part number on those pistons you used? Also, which springs are those on the heads?

the "warpage" was knocked off, it was only .005 Correct, I was not looking for a bump in compression.

I don't have the part number off hand, but I'll have to tomorrow.
The springs in the pics are the stockers, I'm plannig on using 918s and the stock retainers.

The list goes on . . .

Some LTs and ORY are sitting under the kitchen table, I'm kinda set on using a magnaflow, but I might change my mind. I'd like to use a 220/2xx, or a 224/224 cam, but I don't know what stall to choose. This will be a DD truck, and a road trip queen, so something friendly will be needed.

Just a suggestion: If you know the ballpark lift that you want for the cam, you might want to get the 918s early and have the machine shop to blueprint those spring hieghts onto the heads before you assemble the motor.

Do what i did, get a Vigilante Triple disc converter. It was a bit pricey but well worth it. I bought a 3k stall but it is very streetable and friendly. With my Fuddle 2800 it wasnt as friendly.

They will set the springs to the proper install hieghts.(very benificial whe a valvejob is done) Mr.DestinE did mine and he shimmed them up and tested my springs and seat pressures. Its the way you are SUPPOSED to install springs rather than slapping them on there.
