Got two options here.

Im considering decking out my enertainment center. New 50" lcd or 60" plasma tv with surround sound and a massage recliner. Expecting to spend close to 3 grand.

Spend that 3 grand now on a shortblock and in about month or so get the rest of the goodies to finish off a 370 or stock 6.0. If I go this route I will be getting a 370 most likely with forged rods and pistons. Nice cam, CNCd heads all the goodies. Wont slack up any.
But doing this will only lead to needing a new stall converter, probably need to go to an 80e, and build a new rearend. Man that just lookin at the main picture is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Give me some help guys.

My bet is most of the answers are going to lean towards the motor.

 

I have a mediocre TV with a 20 year old enertainment center, no ****. I have a mediocre truck that wants a bottle agian but i aint doin that id just have to go with the 370.

I figured peolple would rationalize and help me and not jump on the bandwagon cause its a performance website. lol come on I know some people will help me go the cheaper beer drinkin parting way!!! 60" hd lcd I cant stop thinkin about sunday night football comin up!!!

Ill end up dumping 6 grand in a motor before its in. It wouldnt be so bad but I cant look at shortblock for a month or two while I save up for the heads and small things!

 

If it were me I would do the entertainment system...summer's here, parties, everyone would want to hang at your place....plus for the track summer isn't going to pull you your best results.

Don't get me wrong, a built 370 would be NICE, but might as well do the entertainment now, less pain in the *** and almost instant results when you get everything set up.

Anyway, I say entertainment, chill out have good time for the rest of the summer then come fall/winter start getting everything together for the motor buildup.

But, to each his own.

 

well the 370 definately would nto be going in right now. Would be close to winter before it did go in.

 

I would invest it but since there are only two options I would vote for the entertainment package...

 

ITs hard to invest a 0% 6 month credit card. lol. This isnt cash in hand. Was offerd by my bank a 0% credit card for being such a loyal customer, I guess im investing my actually money in the right places. lol

 

This is just my opinion, but if it was me, I would not do anyting, if I don't have cash in hand I just don't buy anything on credit, unless it is an emergencry. Debt sucks, I just finished paying off my student loan and credit cards, which took years.... I will never go down that road again....

but use a 60, i have no problems and look at my times
