You know when you're out on open water with no internet signal, what the hell am I suppose to do? Remember this truck is the only vehicle I own, so I'm going to find the answer.

You know 143 else I wouldn't have bothered to learn as much as I have in such a short time.

Did you buy a "cheap" band clamp? If so, try buying a good name brand one from somewhere like Summit Racing or Jeg's.

Well here's the dealio....

The flang that we had installed the first time was not a perfect match. This is the reason for the leak. No matter how tight the clamp was made, there still would not have had a true seal.

So I got the new one on, and the sides seat more true and the clamp is holding well. Robert (the Tech) had to cut the old one off, welded about 6 inches of pipe and the flanges, and no charge. That's what I call service.

Glad to hear you got it all squared away without having to weld it all up!

Hope this is the end to this subject....A lesson learned.

V-band clamps are NOT the correct clamp to use on this application. Still had the leak and just made one more change.

The change was to go to Flowmaster Ball and Flange. They're built to take the torque.
