Default need help with HID install !!!

I KNOW im a ROOKIE so shut up !!!! I bought an GT HID kit from InMotion Perf. and I dont really understand the instructions that came with the kit , if anyone ever installed one on a silverado, i would appreaciate if you helped me out. thanks.

most quality kits are plug and play.

I hope you aren't planning on putting it in the stock housing. If so it won't focus at all, throws more light on the side than in front and blinds people and does nothing but promote legislation against retrofits.... best housing for your style headlight is the TYC's that are designed for HID

i acutally have an 06.... and im using the stock housing right now. I got them to come on now, thanks for the info

ah, ok, I was looking at the sig picture and assumed that was the truck (a 99-02 truck)

8000K? Man, lower output than the 6000K that Nick & myself have. Sure, the 8000K have a nice output color, but the 5000K is still cool, and would yield better results. I may put the 6000K I have in my wife's car, and buy a set of 5000K HIDs.

Post up pics when you get 'em in.

yeah, i know 8000k doesnt have as much usable light as 6000k or 5000k for that matter, but its not that big of a difference, maybe like 15%-20% less. The color is what i was going after, plus .... they are way brighter than the stock bulbs anyways, like 80% brighter and put out way more light also. so im pleased with them.
