Default My sleeper project

I am starting a new project since I sold the Lightning. It is a 66' F100. I actually started restoring the truck back in high school and lost intrest in it, but I am getting startd back on it and hopefully have it ready for the track before long. I have a 5.4 DOHC engine that I have to go pick up next week when I am off work that will be going under the hood. This was my first truck, and my grandpa bought this truck brand new and it has been through 4 uncles, my dad, and me. Here is a pic of my beauty

Hey, I had a truck like that when I was in High School, it was my first truck/car to restore. Does yours have the tool box on the passenger side of the bed? Oh, and you gotta love all the room under the hood. I remember standing inside the engine compartment while working on the fully dressed motor.

I have some pics if you want to see them.

Not bad for a 15/16 year old, I even painted the whole thing myself inside and out, not to mention all the body work and prep.

Enjoy.

More here, I am in the process of uploading all my restoration pics, more will be up tonight.

It will definitley be the DOHC 5.4 and probably a built aod transmission. The truck already has a 9in with 3:70 gears, so that will more than like stay the same. Sullivan Performance makes a 4barrel/throttle body intake so I am thing of putting a blow through carb on with about a 76mm turbo. I am leaving the internals stock in the engine for now just so I can getting it running and lined out before my baby is born this summer.
The truck is really straight and dont have much rust. The only rotten part is the front of the bed floor, and that is because the original bed was totaled when a cotton trilor jack knifed. My uncles put a step side on it untill I got it, and I found the fleet side in a junk yard sitting on the ground.
Black GMC, that is a nice looking truck, dont see many with the a/c in them. once I really get to going, I will have more pics of it. I may leave it looking like **** just to suprise people with it, and make me fit in at greenville

good luck with it.
