pull the heads and be done with it, I never heard the tapping noise your talking about, not even on the 8k rpms I took it to on th 1/4 mile run ahhahaa.

Thats what im thinking. Ill do rod bolts and a set of 243 castings milled .040 and some decent gaskets. Hopefully i can find a simple low mileage shortblock for cheap! If anybody knows of one, lemme know.

It got worse. It taps pretty bad now. I can hear it over the AC on high. Oh wait, you hit the rev limiter.

I voted moped, although I didn't see an options for moped with a 6.0 swap for next summer????????







j/k man. If what you really want is a 6.0, then just fix your engine to last you until next summer and then do the swap when you're able. I want an lq9 or a 408, so I'm saving my money for one now instead of trying to make this damn LR4 fast. It'll come out better in the long run IMHO.

Dont mill the 243s too much so when you get a 6L shortblock you can use them on an LQ4 and bump the CR up into the mid 10s

Throw some lifters in there and be done with th e5.3 for now.

I was talking about an LQ4 milled 243 heads milled with gaskets would yeild like 10.8:1
