Default my day

I put the 6.0 project on hold for a while.

decided to up the 4.8 a little.
got up this morning and started to tear it down for a new set of springs,
cam shaft, double roller chain, mod the oil pump a little.
after about 2 hours looking like I'm making progress when my wife walks out.
first she starts fussing I'm making a mess, look at all of this junk laying around.
blah blah blah.
so when she turns away and starts walking she tells oh yeah your job called.
they want you to come in today to work.
my reply was damn what time I need to come in.
her reply NOW.

so now here I am, just got home 30 minutes ago and my truck is all apart.

no i have a problem.

so far I have snapped 1 breaker bar, and 2 sockets on the crank bolt.
feed the impact all the air i could give it and it still wont give.

at least my springs are done that was the easy part.

i used a craftsman socket (i think its 24 mm but dont quote me on it ) and a craftsman 1/2 drive ratchet with a 3 ft 1 1/2" pipe as a cheater bar. We wedged a breaker bar in the pulley and it bent but did not break. Giver a try.

How I had to break it apart was use a breaker bar and a hammer to break the lock tight then it came off pretty easy. If you have one of the little walmart air compressors it won't work lol, been there done that. Good luck.

just my luck I have a lazy wife.

we got it done, went and seen my friend this morning.
he broke out his 3/4 impact, it gave way.
now I have to wait until the snapon man comes around to replace my breaker bar.

all I did was the cam and springs, the other stuff can wait until later,
things just did not work out on time with too much going on.
I just picked the wrong weekend to do this.
