your plans seem spot on. I'd go lower than the 2/4 but that's just me. Everything else sounds great.

Cam size will depend on your goals. Do you plan on installing a stall?

I'm about out of money so i would like to keep the traney stock for now
if I can get away with it so a cam that would work well with the stock stall is what i'm lookin for and I forgot to mention above the 373s and Truetrac

ID put a stock 6.0 cam in the 4.8 ---- I happen to have one.

Actually the cam Im running would be a decent cam for you not to big but give it a little extra umph and you wouldnt need a stall. you could probably go a little bigger with no stall. You would need some springs too 918s would be enough

Any cam that doesnt need a stall isnt worth the trouble of the swap IMO (and Ive done a **** load of cam swaps, they arent a bother) Just dont think youll be happy with that small of a cam. If youre still set on doing one, my first swap was a 208/212. I sold it and pulled it and slapped in a LS1 cam (wich I still have somewhere) and couldnt tell a difference. Then I went bigger and actually noticed that the cam was there, but needed a stall at that time.

Some people can handle no stall, in fact someone here had a 4.8 with a 224/224 and no stall it was a beast after 3000rpm
