This thing has been just a money pit for what seems like forever. It hasn't made a pass down the track(or even on the street) since about October. The rebuilt tranny never worked from the start, and we've tried everything we could think of to get it back going. It's just a damn downer to have that thing sitting out in the shed collecting dust.
I'm really sick of it and I just can't afford to start over fresh with a brand new tranny. I've already wasted my money on this POS tranny. If the builder would seem somewhat interested in making it right, instead of acting like he could give a **** less, I'd be alright. He really doesn't want me dragging his name around on the internet.

man you will never get any money for it if the trans isn't working. and once you get the trans working you will not even think about selling it. keep that damn truck, i love it. its almost identical to the setup that's going in mine so you give me hope.
and about the tranny builder. if i were you i'd tell him either A) he fixes the tranny, or B) you start dragging his name around. thats how business works, either he makes you happy or you tell people how he's done you wrong

you're just saying that b/c it's as slow as that SS and you don't want to be embarased
sometimes you need to walk away from a tranny builder, ask Matt about that one, he went thru several trannys until he finally gave up on the guy and spent the money on the FLT

thats what i did. i walked away from the guy that built two of my tranny's. he started acting all funny and stuff like TEAM TRIPP is acting towards jeremy. The guy that built mine kept saying it's in the tune. well, same tune with a whole new tranny and it works perfect

Seriously though, I know where you are coming from thanks to my own troubles with my truck. I have been close to giving up but havent yet and I dont expect you to give up either. Take advantage of having another vehicle to drive, save up some money and take your time with it. Besides, I havent gotten the chance to drag dirty down the tack yet

Well, I guess I'm going to drop the pan again tonight and swap valve bodies, putting the shift kit parts in the new valve body. It's a long shot, but I'm eliminating every possibility before I have to drop the tranny again.
I'm at the point where I'm like **** it.
