I just finished this book last night and i have a ton of respect for Hathcock. Thats what id call a Man. 93 confirmed kills and he was only 24years old.

i feel pretty sure whatever round you have in it for target practice will:
a) blast the **** out of a intruder
b) scare them untill they run away and fall in the ditch out front breaking both legs and dieing of starvation and blood loss!
c) get their attention and allow you to politely escort them to the road!

I bought a bunch back when they were $75 a thousand
Thats the only cal i dont reload for.
I dunno where you live but a 7.62x39 even with a HP is goin straight thru that thug and its not goin to stop easy. So ya gotta remember that incase you ever do have to use it
I like the little 40gr Vmax out of my .223. bout 3600fps, its goin in but not out the other side.

Yea, i don't plan to use it for any kind of protection, until armageddon, lol I have a pistol grip mossberg and several hand guns for the close range home defense kinda ****..
