Limp Mode on 1st start of the day
When I crank the truck for the 1st time in the morning it runs fine for a couple of mins then when I get around the corner it goes into limp mode and the SES light flashes at me. It will do that for a few mins then go right back to running fine and the flashing light goes away. Then it runs fine the rest of the day.
This did it once about a week ago and I thought it was just a glitch but now its done it the last 2 days in a row.
Im going to reflash the PCM this afternoon. is there anything else that you can think of that it might be?
Also I have a wheel bearing assy (that has the ABS built into it) that has gone bad and being changed this morning, Could that cause the limp mode?

Re-flash your PCM damnit.
If your ABS sensor is messed up it could cause the VSS to calculate something different I guess (bad wording, but he'll understand)
I would think if it was cause of the ABS module you would have an ABS light too though. Just cause the wheel bearing is going out doesnt mean it would mess a sensor up

look at it to make sure it's clean, if not use the special MAF cleaner from a part store and of course make sure it's plumbed in there well and no leaks around it
