i work offshore out of Grand Isle LA., and i'm hoping we don't lose any platforms

 

It's raining on and off with a couple of gusts now and then. It's calm for the most part though. At least for a little while.

 

there are some places in mississippi that are 6ft BELOW sea level. They use pumps to keep the city above water normally. Thats going to suck.

 

im praying for all my family over there in Baton Rouge, anyone else on here from that area?

I'm in baton rouge. there is a few of us from BR. Thanks, mostly NO will get the worst it looks like. Also, they are below sea level, so its gonna be bad for them.

just heard on the radio that the power went out in the superdome.

Parts of the roof of the super dome has come off leaving two small holes. Electricity went out about 6:20 this morning when the telephone pole in front of my house broke in half and blew the transformers. Powerlines all laying in the road.
