Default Just removed the throttle body........

........for the first time in about 3 years. I can't believe how freakin nasty the inside of the intake is with buildup.....What do you guys use to clean it? Seafoam? I honestly can't believe how bad it is, and after seeing the inside of the intake, I had almost forgotten how nasty of a design it is. I'm glad I looked because the nos nozzle I was going to use for my first stage is too short to use in the egr hole. Looks like I'll have to use my old shark nozzle after all.

Take it off and use non-chloronated brake cleaner. Time for a catch can.

Good deal.......a catch can is definately on the list now. Now that I think about it, I don't think this intake has ever been cleaned....150,000 miles on it. I'm going to clean it as well as I can with it on, because its getting an intake upgrade real soon.

If you are worried about the MAP sensor it just pops out, then you can spray to your hearts content. Hot water off your water heater will clean the intake well too then finish off with brake cleaner. I have used this method on my old 5.3 that had a bunch of gunk built up on it with good success.

He is cleaning his intake not his TB. Non-chloro brake cleaner wont do that to a TB either thats why I use it, not to mention it leaves NO residue.
