Ike....

As most know Eric is still out on the boat till the 15th. They're enroute from Puerto Rico to The Bahamas, should be there by Thursday. After that it's to Pt Everglades, that should be around the 12th. My hope is that Eric is flown home before any activity gets close to the Texas Coast.
Just don't understand, NOAA has Ike sliding southwest, and local forecasters have Ike coming to the Texas Coast.

Might have to evacuate this one if it takes the white route towards freeport. That would put us SE Houston ppl on the dirty side. That's about the same path Alicia took in '83. But Ike's "suppose" to be bigger when it hits landfall..

Sure, if you expect to have a "boil order" or something that prevents fresh water from reaching your taps. Otherwise, I don't see a need. Some parishes here in La had boil orders in place during/after Gustav passed over. Depends on your parish's/county's water mgmt's power and/or supply systems, I guess.
Or if your on a water well ---- Im on a well and with no power you have no water so it was nice to have water to flush the toilet with if nothing else LOL

Son of a bitch!!! Another one...Hope Ike don't take the same path as Claudette cause I'm about 2 blocks from Matagorda bay...plus I'm working nights this week till Sunday so I'll probably be out driving in it when it comes ashore...
