LOL @ Vince... I guess they're not used to seeing that amount of water. Southerners know not to hit high water without being 8 inches off the ground.

 

We made it down here too...

Of course we hi tailed it to the high country about 5 hours away for the landfall but we are back home and didn't even get a drop of rain until today but that's the front moving through. Hope everyone else is OK...

Anyone heard from Kevin??? I tried calling him yesterday but all I got was his voicemail...

 

Been running off generator but got primary power & internet last night @11pm. We're the lucky few that has power due to our electrical is all underground. Places that receieve power through power lines are still without.


They say there's on the news bodies floating at Bolivar Peninsula & "Crystal Beach is no more". Galveston is shut down.

There was about 5 mil without power..don't know the present numbers.

Almost died yesterday with dad & aunt when ran into hanging power line but thankfully power was off. LOL.


Cell phone service is down for most. Can not get ahold of friends in areas that got hit hardest.


On top of that, now we have bad line of thunderstorms rolling through



My friends fled to Lake Charles & woke up because they were hot (fan stopped working) & put feet down off bed to ankle high water in the house..4 ft outside. Cars flooded, lost phones & some luggage but are OK.

PS have some good news, we lost our fence & now have access to 4 swimming pools.

 

Hope everyone made it alright. This was a big storm. We are still getting alot of rain off of it.

 

I Got out to college Station with my Mom and Little Brother but not going back to houston today

House is Sketchy and store may be being looted not sure

**** sucks, may go back to houston today to check on the store but it's touchy

 

I sat at my gf's house and got hammered. We pioneered a new quarters game....WIN!
