Default I smoked a tranny

$thenewguy$ decided it would be a good idea for everyone to come in and post if youve fried a tranny. So I guess post as many as youve fried, and why not list your mods too, maybe we can kinda see some similaritys (ie.6l swaps or N2O)

Well, Im going on my 6th or 7th right now. I have a cammed 6l in a RCSB Z-71 blew the first with a cammed 5.3. Blew the second with a botched shift kit installation, third, crushed the pump, fourth had trash in the converter, fifth realised I had trash in the converter, sixth just decided to retire after about 2 1/2 months of service IF the seventh goes, Im gonna set this bitch on fire, and walk away

hahaha gosh damnit i didn't know you fried so many..... well i got all the **** in my sig. but what caused me to waste my trannys life was.. a gosh damn servo that was installed wrong.... One piston will go on two different ways and it's hard to catch.... well mine turned out to be on the wrong way and blew out the case where the servo calls home .......

o yeah and it looked something like this but where its cracked in this picture the whole piece is gone on mine with a little bit more

Fried a super duty 4l60e. Mods were cammed/heads 6.0L, bolt-ons, TCI 3000 stall, and 3.73 gears........oh, yeah, almost forgot about the 150 shot of spray.

Lost reverse, 2nd, and overdrive. The tranny fluid looked like motor oil. The shipping company is on the way as we speak to pick it up and send it back for the rebuild. Also going to upgrade to the fuddle converter.

Im going back with a level 5 FLT and a Fuddle converter. I think I only lost all gears in one or two (besides when I killed the pump) I always loose 3rd and 4th go figure

1st was a stock trans it was time for it to go with a tune and bolt on 5.3
2nd pump added a TCI 3K
3rd fully built every damn goodie you can get in it fried all the clutches it still drives but slips BAD on the 2-3 shift and slips through all the gears a little bit this is with my 418 no nitrous yet....

Going with a shift kit 80e for now it will be pulled later on for a full build.
