Default Got a new DD

With the price of gas I decided to get a 4cyl DD. I've got a 6.0L in the works so I needed something to drive to work. I'm not a fan of S10's but for $500 I couldn't turn it down (2002 model).

It needed a motor and I found a used one a guy had in his garage for a few years. He only wanted $300 for it so I took a gamble. It runs really good thank goodness. I decided if I was going to drive a lousy 4cyl around I might as well try and give it some attitude so I did a 5/6 drop, removed the rear bumper, tool box, and the slide in bedliner. It's starting to look alright and it rides better than I expected. Plans are to color match the front bumber and get different wheels.

It looks really small next to my fullsize.

Plus another $500 to drop it. I also spent about another $150 for water pump, gaskets, etc. It still needs a radiator but that's about it. The a/c even works!

Thats a damn steal. IMO if you do color match, you should leave the grille like it is and just do the bumper. An old coworker had his all color matched (was white as well) 3 months later it looked awful because all the rock chips and bug debris tore it up. As far as wheels. I say 10 spoke C5 Z06 wheels or some weld drag wheels haha.

Put the 6.0 in the Silverado, then put the 5.3 in the S10. Your going to have to buy another nitrous kit for the S10 too

Those are the exact wheels I've been thinking of. Do you know if you have to have spacers to run the vette wheels? It might look cool with big and little drag style wheels.
