If he had a good boot on he likely wouldn't have had a broken ankle. Gloves, riding jacket and riding pants (or even blue jeans) would have saved him from the road rash on his back, hands, legs and butt.

The minimum I've gone out with is t shirt, blue jeans, some type of boot that supported my ankle and the helmet, I always preferred having gloves if available.

yea after meeting brandon i wont go riding without the jacket and pants. I always wear the gloves too.
