Good grief.....that was by far the worst conditioned track I've ever been to. Looks like everyone that made a pass tried to taste the wall at about the 1/8th mile. Also, launching was completely non-existant. When asked why the everyone was getting out of control down the track, the track guys said they had only prepped to the 1/8th. You'd think they would get a clue when at least 5 cars in a row tried to taste the walls.
My first pass was against Danny Poo and his SOM SS. We both come out of the hole spinning. We're neck and neck through the 2nd gear shift. All the way through second gear we are tight.......looks to be a great race! On the third gear shift, my car just loses the *** end, and it looks as though I'm surely going to taste the left hand wall. I'm on the brakes, counter-steering the **** out of it two times....then three, and miss hitting the wall by about 2 inches.
Second pass was in the right lane....somewhat better. Spin out of the hole(2.1 60ft), then let off alittle between shifts just because I had to clean my pants out on the previous run. Ended up with a 14 flat.
Third pass, tried to actually stall it up some out of the hole. Get the bad wheel spin(a 2.29 60ft), then spin alittle during gear changes. Car holds straight and run a 13.86. Not bad in my book considering the track condition and 60 ft time.
Ruthless's best pass of the night was a 13.6, while Danny clocked in a best of a 13.89 on a 2.2 60 ft.
Got one vid, and guess what vid it is RUTHLESS?!?!
I'll get it edited sometime today and get it up. It's the only time me and Ruthless lined up last night, and guess who came home with the crown?!?!
One good thing, though, is that no one gets to blame any losses to tires. We all had crappy launches, but if you were in the left lane.......you were flirting with death!!!!!!!!
Overall....I'm happy with the 13.8. I think at a decently prepped track and some decent tires the car will easily be a mid-low 13 second car.

BTW.....didn't get the best times for Bondo and LilRick, so guys.....post up best times for the kiddies.
BTW.....got to tell this story. There was this guy in an older model cobra that was BRAGGING on how it had 385 HP TO THE WHEELS and how it was overpowering the street tires...... First off, that thing didn't have anywhere near 385 hp!!!!! He was running low 14s/high 13s every pass. Secondly.....they were getting in the wet box, then completely smoking out the street tires trying to get a good launch. Anybody in here ever attempt this and have any success stories?
If I had to hear that guy yell," DAMN, THAT'S SUM POWA RIGHT THERE!!!!!!" one more time I was going to punk my *** off.
I only wish I would have had my truck there where I could have rung his lunch money off of him.
Come to think of it, I probably could have done it with the SS.

Yeah I knew I should have had my car out there if it wasn't broke down... I think i would have had this best time. If everybody was spinning and still getting high 13's I have no doubt I would have got mid to low 13's I think
