Default fuel pump going out

well i just put new 8.1l injectors in and just started tuning the truck well we got the ve table pretty decent then we were working on the dialing in the maf and did a wot pull when we looked at it my idc were around 115% and was pulling timing like crazy only 15 degrees of timing wot. it was leaning out really bad up top camanded was like 12.2 and was at 13.6 at 6200. so i guess i will be ordering a walbro 255lph intank. im gonna check the rail pressure to make sure its the pump though when it gets below 55 its going out right?

you may be exceeding the output of the stock pump.... regardless, the walbro is a good upgrade

They started in tank filters in 2003 or 2004, cuz my 2005 had it.....Its non servicible and said to last the life of the fuel pump. You change the whole unit when the fuel pump goes out.

What if you were to just replace the pump with a Walbro and put a external filter on the frame similar to the older models??
Thats what i would try to do.

I got a brand new one in the package right now if you're looking for one.
