it was an awesome change in weather for a florida boy, about 38-40 in the morning and a whopping 60-65 in the afternoon....GOODTIMES

my father works on the north slope, so he knows a buddy with a cabin in anchorage...he hooked us up. IT WAS AWESOME, i would go there again in a heart beat

What test did you use? I love the silver (Coho) on 12lb. or less, they put up an incredible fight, for a salmon! I've never fished Alaska but sure would love to.

here is the halibut me and a few coworkers cought on the last day of fishing season. we ended up getting about 20lbs of fillets each. we were in 6ft seas on a 32ft boat i will never do that again. I am the big guy on the right.

on 10lb., it was a blast. i think in the river we were using 12-15lb because of the current.

lol, sorry to hear that man...its definatly more work then fun. we were using a 5lb weight to go down 200 feet! it sucked when they stole your bait! other than that we had flat seas, we were lucky

10lb. good deal. We would have 6lb derbys every year off my boat. Best I ever did was land two Chinook Salmon 12 and 15lbs with the #6 but I never lost one.
Light tackel is a blast!
