Default First time back to the track in over a year.......

First off, this was the first pass for the truck since last October, and I might have well just been racing on the highway.........Zero track prep plus 50 degree weather = WORST 60ft EVER!!!! Also, they didn't have any nitrous for sale at the track, so I had to settle for motor passes.......

On a good note, the truck feels tougher than it ever has. Coming off the line with the new converter, I realize I'm going to have to get into the suspension work now.
Anyway, didn't run but twice and only got 1 timeslip, and to beat all the mph was fudged up(this was what I was really interested in to see how much big end the 3800 stall killed).

Came off the light at around 1000rpms, converter flashed to about 5200 and lit the tires up. Feathered it a bit and hooked it up. 60ft time was a WHOPPING 2.2 Ran a 13.17. Last year when I spun like that I ran a 13.7, so its a pretty good indication the truck is quicker than it used to be.
It's seen a 1.70, I'm pretty confident I haven't lost too much with the larger converter.

Trans feels AWESOME!!!! Converter is a good bit looser than the old TCI3000, but damn does it flash and come out hard!!! I got a vid of it(truck looks like it leaves hard, but falls into a spin) I just have to convert it to my computer.

Overall, I'm extremely impressed with the trucks first pass. I get my 60ft time back, and it'll see those low 12s again on motor with no problem.

Sweet. 13.1s on a 2.2 is good news. Keep working on it.
