Yesterday I was out at my grandparents farm pond in a tiny central Texas town. We decided to go out and pitch a lure for a while and Jesus...the third cast, i thought i got my spinner bait stuck on a stump because of how solid the hit was. My pole then shot a hard left. I have never fought a Largemouth Bass so long and hard. It was a solid 2 minutes straight. I couldnt believe that this huge thing came out of our little pond. The biggest i have caught out of that pond has been a little 1lb turd.

It was an easy 8lbs maybe even 10. We didnt have a scale on hand so this was just a guess. I was thinking she had been spawning because of her tail and her fat belly. My grandma and mom (shown in background) were freaking out because she was really fat and her tail had been chewed up and was bleeding and they wanted her back in the water quickly for breeding stock but my gf snapped a few pics. This easily the biggest lunker i have ever caught.

nice lookin fish. from the pic i would say 5-6 lbs. still bigger than anything ive caught and i put a few hours on the lake in college. i always went with a buddy who would yank 6-10 lb fish out fishing next to me with the same bait while i caught little 3-4 lb fish. pissed me off hah.
