Im really surprised with the results the 4.8's and 5.3's have been given out lately.... might even just stick with the 5.3 now..

so what all weight reduction did you end up doing?? I guess I need to break down next time and take alot of it out too, I would just hate to mess with the tonneau cover but if it comes down to it I wont think about it twice!!

by the way a friend of mine ran a 15.2 on a 06cc 5.3, aftermarket muffler, and a MTI tune... not bad for a cc, oh and it has 3.23's...

MTI? who's that?

I assume he's running stock 17" aluminum wheels and stock tires?

i dropped alot lol. hitch, spare, tailgate, front and back seats and the system. what all do you drop when you go out there?

tailgate, rear seat, spare..... i might convince myself next season and take off the tonneau cover & the passenger seat...

I dropped the spare and tailgate......and that's only to overcome the weight disadvantaged driver

I could probably shed another 2 or 3 tenths if I pulled the hitch, bumper and seats...but it's still slow, lol.
