it'll prob go about 64 or so if i had to take a guess... it's only got a 19degree pich prop on it... i think that prop is mad for acceleration if i'm not mistaken... i want to put a transom jack on it next year to get the motor back away from the boat a little bit because that'll make the boat lift out of the water alot better..... the boat want to go faster now but just starts hoppin around alot once you trim the motor on up

a friend of mine has a 21' fiberglass hull Tide Craft bass boat with a Merc Black Max 200 on the back. I've clocked it at 68 with my handheld GPS with both of us, full ice chest and full fishing gear. He claims it's hit about 75 empty when it was new (it's now 15 years old).... but I've had enough before we hit that. The boat was built for Toledo Bend Reservoir (wide open man made lake) while fishing tournaments. 5 blade stainless prop is set up for getting it moving to get you there and back as quick as possible.
That motor you have on that little boat is just plain sick...

haha yea thats what everyone keeps tellin me... i was on the river the other day and pulled up to the sand bar to holler at some folks and the yelled out... "what? you coldnt find a bigger motor for that john boat?" haha it just cracks me up but its one hell of a bow fishin boat... everyone else has little 13 or 12ft boats with like a johnson 9hp on it.. then i come rollin by at 60 with mine... its priceless!
