While driving home last night my motor developed a tap. It wasnt loud but audible in the drivethrough of Taco Cabana. After i dropped off the lady friend off at her car, i drove it home. I came off of a stop sign and brought the RPMs up to about 4k and got up to about 60-65mph. The truck shuttered and the motor started clattering. I rolled into my neighborhood and push my truck to my house. I leaked oil all the way down the road. There is pretty big hole in my oil pan. Everything was going so well, now i throw a phucking ROD!!!!

 

Damn that is too bad. Did you notice when or if you lost oil pressure?
And how the hell did you knock a hole in the pan?

Im gonna go for an LS1 or 6.0. Hopefully my cam is still good. IM SOOO PISSED.

Mark- I didnt look at oil pressure. It started clattering and i started banging on the steering wheel. There is a hole about 3" from the front of the oil pan.

Anybody know of a 6.0 or LS1 laying around. Im not gonna go with another 5.3. Ive been kicking myself ever since i did the last motor!

 

this coming from the guy who told me he was getting out of the scene less than 3 weeks agoadmit it. the mod bug hasnt let go yet i think i remember quick said something about knowing where theres a yard with cheap motors.

 

****!!! Decisions Decisions. I would love the added torque/power of a larger bore motor but its expensive.
