TAKE HOIST... REMOVE MOTOR..... PUT NEW MOTOR WITH NEW PULLEY IN..... PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

Yea, if you can weld worth a ****, do that. Itll help it stay on. Just make sure you let it cool first. I think thats a cast pulley so be careful.

you can't weld on cast. plus if you get the pulley to hot it will seize to the crank then he's really fucked

What about a slide hammer if you have room? You could wrap a chain around the pulley and use a decent size slide hammer.

If you get it right you can. Ive done it before without a Nickel alloy but it isnt a very strong weld. All you are trying to do is to keeping the jaws of the puller from slipping off the tabs right? It should hold it on well enough for the jaws to catch.

Thats why i said let it cool because the metal will still be more maleable (sp?) and bend rather than hold up. Tack it on, tension it up and let it sit for an hour or so.
