I've never heard of breaking in gears haahaaha, pyle brothers allways told me go wot your not going to hurt it. but each his own.

I left two posi marks when I pulled out of the shop after my gear swap and it ahs 45K on the gears with no problems...

My gear installer said get on it a bit, but 20-30 min drive time then let them cool completely. Heat/cool cycle supposedly allows the gear teeth harden to a final form = more strength. 500 mi total for break in. I followed this cause my installer warrantied his work if break-in procedure was followed.

Makes a little sense, but probably doesn't make that much difference. No problems after about 8-9000 mi.

Colby, I can personally vouch for that transmission. That **** would bark the freakin tires when it hit 3rd! Worked like a charm, and like Cody said, he only had it in for about a month or two before we took that thing out.

Cody, you're off the hook

I just got done testing the FLT tranny at WOT and it didn't flinch! The 1st-2nd is so much nicer than it was in my stock tranny too. I had the Transgo kit in mine, but I installed the wrong accumulator spring which made the 1st-2nd shift harsh. It would bark the tires at part throttle. The FLT shifts just right...I'm impressed
