Anybody from Batesville AK. I watching NASCAR RACE DAY live. They did a little thing about Mark Martin #6 which I have been a fan of since I was in my early teens. I'm sorry to say that he has never been the CHAMP but will always be to me. I want to know if anybody has been to his museum? My parent's have retired down in Hot Springs Village AK. They have been going down there for about five years looking to retire. They have baught a house on a lake there and really love it. Does anyone know how far apart it might be between the two. Also is there a dragstrip close to hot springs village? I plan on going down as soon as I get a chance and would like to pre-schedule some non-parent RNR! Any input would be great. Also if you would like to hook up that would be cool as well. What other racing activity is happening down there? I pretty much enjoy it all and have built transmissions for most all. Please let me know guy's and look forward to possibly meeting some of you. Vince

Hey man my parents own a condo in the village. I am in Conway which is about 1 hour 15 mins away from there. All my dads family is from Batesville which is about 2 hours from Conway. I would say less than 3 hours between the two if you shoot straight down to LR and over to the village. Centerville is about 1 1/2 hours or less from the village straight up HWY 7. It's only 1000', or you have Barton track in LR which is 1/8 mi. I would be happy to meet up with you anytime, just let me know!

 

I have an aunt that lives in Hot Springs, and I work for a boat dealer (Bradford Marine and ATV) that has a location in Hot SPrings.

 

i am little over a hour from hot springs and lake hamilton is a nice lake and is very very busy in the summer. not real sure but gilliam LA might be the closest 1/4. just give me a heads up

 

memphis from hot springs is about 3 1/2 hours. thier 1/4 track is real nice!

Im sure when you come all of us arkansas boys can show you around. Tkae you to our local track, centerville, its in russellville. your more then welcome to drive up to LR, 1 hour from hot springs, then ride with me to cneterviler another 1 from little rock.

just let us know. A bunch of us are havin a gtg at centerville the 14 of october, if your are thinkin of comin that soon.

I was telling her about this thread and she thought your replies were very cool. I can't wait to get down to meet you guy's. I will post when I know for sure. As far as closest track to hot springs Centerville takes the cake, easy route up HWY 7 from hot springs. And he's talking about HS village which is even closer.

 

centerville closes before X-mas I think. But we can ALWAYS go make some street races.

 

Yeah I think Centerville closes Nov. 25th. Oh yeah Vince the last time I went to the "street races" with these guys we ended up running from the cops and into a bean field, just a fair warning man.
