Caught this coming off the ship today...

They got this one almost stuck coming off the ship..
had the ramp at to great of an angle to the dock..
off loaded a total of 5 of them..
2 orange
2 blue
and 1 yellow one
and then we pulled this out of an old warehouse that had been closed up for several years..
Its an old Port Fire truck, the siren even still works...
I forget what year it is but it is a dodge and has a flat head six in it.
we finally got it running after about 5 hours of working on it.
they are going to let us restore it..

seen some pretty cool stuff lately..
they had a squad of Apache helicopters come in about 2 weeks ago.. to get shipped out..
and we are always getting in M1 abrams that are getting shipped back from Iraq..
Sat in a heavily armoured Humvee too..
now that thing was like a tank..
2" thick doors, along with 2" thick glass

those 5 didnt sit for very long..
just long enough to get them off the ship, wash'em and then load them up on a car carrier.

the mechanics hooked up a regular car battery to it, and was trying to get it started..,
we had to remind them that the fire truck battery was a 3 cell battery..
they looked at us alittle confused at first, and then snapped to what we where telling them...LOL

no harm done tho..
we finally got it started...
all it needed was a new rotor cap, and new gas.
