i went deer huntin for the first time this year today. well it startedoff good when two does walked by me. then i looked up and a buck was out there about 150 to 200 yards. it was just a little ole 8 point but i aint killed a buck in 4 years so i decided to crack a shot at it. it shot it once and it ran a few yards then stopped so i shot at it again. so i waited a little while before i went to look for blood. when i did i found a pretty good bit so i waited on bondo to get there to help me. we blood trailed that deer for 3 hours and still never found him. we saw spots where he had fallen down but the deer wasnt there when we got there.........

now i have gottin mad at deer. i'm fixin to start huntin hard

 

What caliber you shooting?

 

7mm-08. i didnt have any bullets to my 270

We tracked a big 9 point for 7 hours and 2 miles and didnt find it so dont feel bad

 

i would go and look some more but that is me

 

****. in 70 degree weather and big steep *** hills..... that deer wouldnt big enough for me to go back and look

 

3rd day the buzzards showed us where he was. Meat was ruined but the horns were retrieved

Ive never had a deer run after i shot it. But we blood trail all my brothers deer......

That Sux man. You guys are lucky you can hunt with rifles. Ive had more bucks this year out of my range,if we could use rifles i would have had a shot.
