Default bought an SKS

i bought a SKS last night along with a WWI italian 6.5x52mm mannlicher rifle.....the SKS is fun, i took a tree out with it today. if i could figure out how to post pics i would.....anyone have any suggestions on where to buy hard to find ammo

The best x39 I can find is ~$200/1000 wolf delivered ammoman sportmansguide etc.

What did you get a Russian, Yugo? Markings?

Get a cheaper than dirt catalog. They sell 1000 rounds for something like 129.00 plus shipping.

500 rounds....you better double check that. I am always looking for the best buys.

that's a nice price.... not to hijack the thread.. but hook a brother up with som 45 gap. craps 20-25 for 50rds.

its a chinese.....it has some chinese symbols on the side and says "SKS 6.72x39 norinco china ont ca" i dont know a whole lot about them other than they are fun to shoot. the number on it is 1700713 with all the matching #'s

Yes, SKS's are a blast, I have shot mine out to 200 yards. Good enough to do what it was intended for.

What kind of advice would you like? I know a bit about them, yes. I know more about the Russian Simonov's but they're pretty similar.
