such horrible luck. glad to see your okay, you don't need us to tell you...it could of been the front joint that went first. The only thing that would of saved you in that scenario is it is thin aluminum.
Yeh, when I broke mine (at 10mph, I floored it) and later was looking at it (2years ago) I was like wtf...foam? That aluminum is beer can thin almost too. The diameter of that thing is what makes it as tough as it is for being 70+ inches..

) yet pissed that i wasnt getting any decent runs and wasnt driving my truck home.Either the u joint ate **** or it twisted off at the center. The u joint is still attatched to the pinion yoke and the rotating cylinder thingys (somebody give me the actual name!!! ) on top were missing. I really dont know. I have heard of the long single peice aluminum dshafts snapping in half in longbeds. There was a guy with a longbed not too long ago that broke it in half and it shot through the cab floor!
The same reason i didnt hit the dyno. I didnt expect it. I thought my rear end gave out at first......then i looked under the truck and saw one half hanging there.
