Default Anyone using GPS on their Laptop?

I just ordered a new laptop so I can start tuning with EFILive, anyways I was looking into buying either Copilot 9 or Microsoft Streets and Maps both with a GPS locator. From what I have read they are very similar to in car navigation devices. I was just wondering if anyone had experience with either of these programs.

I have MS streets and trips 2006 and it works pretty well. My only complaint is that sometimes it lags and I have missed a few turns because of it.

How complete are the maps? I have read a couple of reviews that say they are not updatable...

i have the ms streets and trips and i have had pretty good luck with it. as long as the gps device is out in the open it keeps up with the truck. I have had it falen to the floor and it starts to lag. I have used it all over the country too. oh and it does pick up over 120mph

I'm manage a publishing circulation department and have used MS Streets & Trips up until this year. It was an OK program. Just a couple weeks ago I bought the DeLorme Street Atlas USA 2008 Plus with the Earthmate GPS and it is GREAT. It works on my laptop and my Treo 755p and I can download static maps to my ipod (or to my drivers Ipods since static maps are ok for them) It has quick find restaurants, hotels, and will automatically plot my contacts from ly computer or my Treo. IMO I like it better BUT both work well.
