Default Anyone in Baton Rouge...

...know anyone that could possibly hook me up with a job? Due to some family circumstances , I hate divorce...it looks like I will be having to move out of the house and start living on my own...er well not on my own but with my g/f in Baton Rouge. Please let me know if anyone knows of some decent places that are hiring. I'm making a measily $11/hr here at Express Jet...I'd need to make a little more than that to be able to cover the basic necessities and bills.

Thanks

Well, what type of job expieriences do you have?, are you in school?, Do you have a degree of any type etc.... Theres jobs out here, you just have to go find them. Most plants start helpers out at 12ish an hour just a thought.

I am currently in college locally, working on an MCSE certificate and also continuing in my AA degree (planning on transferring to a university). I do not have any degrees or certifications at the moment. I've got about 3 years experience in customer service/data entry and 2 years in the shipping industry and I'm proficient with computers and several softwares such as office, Windows XP pro, etc.

What exactly does a plant helper do? I'm open for anything.

Maybe contact the City of Baton Rouge government's Information Services Department, they hire student workers, see what they have available:

Oh man I don't mind at all...as long as I can pay the bills lol. My g/f lives about 5 minutes off of the LSU campus...right across some lake/park area.

Lol how'd you manage not getting arrested??

LOL I was arrested, just never placed in handcuffs or taken into custody. All it means to be "under arrest" is that you just lost your freedon to come and go as you please. I got pissed at the smart *** rookie cop, so I ask if i was under arrest, when he said no, I turned around and walked off, so the senior offices placed me under arrest till I answered all their stupid questions. The had to explain to me the difference between being "arrested" and taken into custody though. It was messed up. We were at a LSU game (actually parking across the street from campus) and I was throwing 2 empty beer bottles away. (at the time there was no open container in the vehicle law, but there was an open container in public law) I tossed one bottle in the dumpster, and they stopped me as I was about to toss the second one. Ended up getting a ticket and all kind of other BS. I was young and they scared me into taking probation, and one of the probation conditions was to take some stupid substance abuse class.

Ill keep my ears open about jobs. When you get a chance PM me, and I'll give you a few places, and /or numbers to call with some contack info.
