As long as you can pay it off in 12 months.

i have thought about the loans/CC for mods and its ok if you dont have any other debt, but in my case i have a $200 AE card, $2000 zales card, $2500 CC, truck, bike, and sig loan right now so no one wants to finance the house im trying to buy. but if you have a house and arent in too much debt/need credit i say go for it.....just my $.02

No offense but there is a reason why you have so many debt payments and that is because you follow your own $.02. I would suggest for him to set aside however much he can a month and when he has enough money saved and he still wants to go fuel injected it isn't a burden on him to pay it off. If he has a change of plans he has a nice chunk of extra change to invest or put towards something else...

No doubt on the loans!!! I had 2 credit cards go to charge off, because I couldn't afford to pay them and everything else at the same time. The only way to learn is to do it yourself, but it sucks. I've been watching my money hard lately, which isn't easy to do, trying to save to pay off my debt. I've got 14 payments and the truck is mine. I figure that in 1 year, I'll be debt free (with my good loans) and then it will be time to settle the "bad loans". Hahaha...I will finally be able to do what I want with the truck!! The next step is saving $ for a house.

Oh....back "on topic".......6gs?......Go for tune, cam, stall, gears, and other bolt ons first, IMO. But if you really want a supercharger, then go for it, but it will cost more $ for getting the rest of the drivetrain built up to support the abuse.

I say do it. Also while you're at it, go to the local rent a rim place and rent out some 26" spoke rims.
