Default 68'c-10 or nbs?

what would yall do?

i have the 68'C-10 and have good plans for it, but it will be atleast 2yrs before i finish it but to tell yall the truth I am scared of racing an old truck like that down the track, I just dont trust the suspension on old trucks even if i replaced everything new on it...... and well from being on this forum for a quite a few years I am just getting the itch of getting me an 99-02 RCSB and fixing that up, i just trust these nbs trucks a whole lot more for racing them down the track....

so what would yall do? c10 or nbs?

AP just my .02 worth they started racing those way back then and anything can happen on the old as well as the new...I say keep it and MOD the hell out of it...Not to many people can say they have an old school vehicle that runs as quick as you are wanting it to....but just my opinion...

Coming from a car restoration family, and having personally restored 3 60's vehicles, I say do the 68".... Keep this in mind thou, from my experiences if you want something reiable and is not going to give you problems, redo all the wiring, fuel lines, brake lines, all suspension componets, brakes, etc... Having seen my brother total a couple of 67's mustangs, they are safe to a certain extent... He pushed the rear bumper into the middle of the back seat once when he hit a tree doin 90+mph and only came out of it with a few bruises and cuts.. The older vehicles have thicker metal which is good and bad....

Emphasis on fuel lines.

AP... not that it's the safe thing to do (cuz it's not in ANY vehicle), but I've taken my truck above the 120 limit on the 5" gauge. I know someone that's gone to 150mph (per HPTuners), but that person shall remain nameles. <----not me!

keep the c10 ap, look at it this way. no truck payments,no emissions, and don't worry about top speed. you can build it to handle it.
