First of all this is my first time to start a thread, so thanks for all the imfo.

I have a 03 LQ4 with a 4L80e tran computer an wireing harness that i plan on getting rebuild an stroked to a 408 an then put into my 96 SWB silverado. Im wanting to get around 500+ hp an tq, this will be a weekend driver kinda like a show an go type but more go. I like to play with my toys more than look at them. Any help on heads cam intakes an what ever else yall want to suggest is helpfull. I would like to use the fast lsxrt intake in order to keep it more like a truck with the low end tq. thanks

 

Welcome to the site and u can get over 500 HP and tq depending on if u got fi n/a nitrous but my n/a 408 makes over 500 HP and 470-480tq

 

thanks for replying back, i love the pic, thats exactly in the range im looking for. what kinda heads, pistons, as well as cam are you using. I really want to go with the lsxrt intake to get the low end tq that you get with it so im guessing they are some sort of cathedral head. any imfo that you can share on how you put yours togather will be very helpfull.

-8 cc pistons 63cc 243 heads ported to 236cc 247/255 112+4 cam 1 7/8 heads 102/102 lsxrt running about 11.3 cr 52lb injectors anything else let me know

 

this that a little high for a daily driver or no? what is a good cr to go with. is the 317 heads on there pretty much the same as the 243s

 

yea they r just 317 r 72cc i beleive and 243 is 64 and mines not a daily driver but if i wanted it to be its not bad really

 

i daily drove my 408 with 248/254 cam with 11.7.1 compression on pump gas *91

 

ok so i think im going to go with some cnc ported 237 cc heads that texas speed has. plus the lsxrt intake w/102 tb an the fuel rails. any other helpfull hints yall can give me with injectors cam any helpfull imfo on how yalls are running an will gladdly be help full.

Like i said this is going to be a weekend or when its pretty out driving truck i would like to use pump gass.

 

I just got this LSXRT intake too can anyone tell me if the 146028 fuel rail kit work with the taller 60# injectors or do i need to buy a different fuel rail?
