Default 4.3 to 5.3 swap

I have searched and searched and couldnt find the answer I was looking for so maybe someone on here can help.

The truck in my sig has the 4.3, and I am putting stewarts 01 5.3 in there. On the ls1truck.com message board there is a stick for a 4.3 to 6.0 swap in there, and it says to buy two new fuel line fittings as well as 1ft sections of steel braided hose.

Does ANYONE know if any of the stock fuel lines from my 2000 4.3 will work on a 2001 5.3?

Any input would be much appreciated. Here is the link to the thread from ls1truck.com http://forum.ls1truck.com/index.php?showtopic=9571

thanks,
david

if it says to replace them for the 6.0, then i'd replace them for the 5.3 as well.

Where in Austin do you live? I live in south west Austin near Dripping Springs. I may be able to lend a hand when you do the swap or just come check things out, that is if I'm not working.

hey DLH, am I going to need that nipple fitting for the back of the intake for the 5.3 that I have? Or is that just strictly for the 6.0 intakes?

randomhero, I live off of east riverside...GHETTOOOOO. But I'm actually gonna do the swap back in my home town since all my buddies are home and I have alot of tools there. But thanks anyway. Once I get it up and going we should cruise out to 183 and Burnet sometime to check out the "scene". I dont know if you have been out that way weds, or saturdays seeing as how your all teh way in dripping springs, but it gets pretty cool sometimes. I havent been out in while, nor have I been in the truck, but yeah..
