this is how it does it now...
2nd-3rd shift @ 6000rpm = 3705 rpm in third
shifts changed would be
2nd-3rd shift @ 6500rpm = 4010
this is 305 rpm difference and 8mph later. my best trap speed is 89
also what is the official story on the pcv valve... makes a difference or not? seems to be a little dispute in posts there. also, IMO the SOTP meter tells me this truck keeps pulling after 6K, at least in first... might be different after the trans ratio changes. i dunno.

I am a bolt on 5.3 as of right now and i trapped my best at a 14.8x at 94mph.
I also ahve better shift extension that that however.I shift from 1-2 at 6000rpms=45mph i shift from 2-3 at 6100rpms=90mph
If you raise your rpm band to 6500 on the 2-3 you should get out of that dead zone your hitting right now as well as be at a better mph in general.
ECSB's need to turn a few extra rpms we just weight too much to turn the same as a reg cab and expect the same results.

well, foot on the brake sittin still, it'll flash at about 28-2900. then the tire/brakes let loose. normal driving...75% wot and less, it will jump to about 3300 and let the mph catch up and then climb with each other. 75% or more it will jump to about 3700 and speedo catches up. so i wouldnt "THINK" anything is wrong with it, it doesnt give me any lip normal driving. no surging/chattering/excessive slipping (3700+) but my gas mileage has completely **** on me the last few months, coincidentaly about the time i plugged that damn hose back on is when it started
