Im guessing you finally got a 60e to last? You really ought to think about swapping to an 80e, once you get rolling the 80e flat out pulls. You might have noticed that people gain 3-4mph in the 1/4 doing the swap with usually the same et.

I have ~1600 into my swap, that includes EVERYTHING, even the 200$ input gear for the t-case. The beauty of an 80e is you dont need to build it fro it last, I put a trango hd2 shift kit in it and dont forsee any problems from what I have read from others on this board. Add another 800ish for a converter minus what you can get for your built 60e and converter and I could see you being out about a grand total. Even though the 1st gear sucks with the stock covnerter I love the way it shifts over the 60e and the shift extension it gives you. Even with the stock converter it only drops down to around 4800.

Who, Coonass? He is probably busy walking his gator, even though he is a MS resident now.
Im not going all the way up there to run my truck, Ill meet ya'll at HRP to have some fun, Im not going to race for money, Im a ***** when it comes to betting. I cant stand to lose, especially when I lose money.

Some people value being able to hook up to the tractor and pull it to the farm and still get double digit gas mileage, unhook and click off an 11(hopefully 10) second pass
I like to have a truck that I can use as a truck, if I wanted all out speed I wouldnt have started with a 5K# brick

(except the tractor part - have to substitute a boat in my case)

cody i see what you are saying about the gas and every day use of your truck and understand bt 9.3 to 1 is low,you could have went with 10 to 1 and been alot better.i just don't see you picking up that much on spray cause of torque steer just watch the videos with parish with a 175 shot and you want to go with a 300 shot i just don't see you being able to hold the truck straight on the take off,to run the times you are looking for
and not trying to be an *** just looking at the whole picture of this thing and the out come of the race the other night.

Randy, the motor was built for boost, what is there to understand? I could throw a decent sized turbo on there run well into the 10s, I just dont care to spend the money any more. Ive got an 06 Jeep Rubicon to play with now, Im ready to spend time/money on other things besides my truck.
My truck isnt exactly slow either Randy, it slow out othe hole because Im running a stock 80e stall and an 80e, it keeps up with James's truck up top and his truck isnt exactly slow. Im happy with what I got, it runs and doesnt consume oil so Ill roll with it till further notice.
