I thought the site disappeared today. Other than this one problem this afternoon the site has been really good for me.

I had a TIMEOUT thing going for about 2hours last night. I thought the ricers hacked the site and shut it down!!

Do we have server issues or something? That was the worst it has been for me ever, last night that is.

The other afternoon and last night I ended up getting REALLY tore up using that advice.

The main part of the problem has to do with the shared userbase which allows anyone registering on LS1Tech/Performance Trucks to automatically be registered on the other site. Even though both sites are on seperate servers we are still connected somewhat by that. With the recent performance improvements a LOT more people have been staying online longer which of course leads to performance problems again. It's a vicious cycle.

There is a MAJOR rework of the software in progress by Brains that should sqaush all these problems but, it's a HUGE(can't stress that enough) undertaking and is taking time to get right and ready for primetime. I have no estimates on when it will be done at this time.

I gotta admit, I am real guilty of logging on at work and then that 4pm beer bell rings and SEE YA. In the mean time pt.net and ls1t.com are still on my desktop. So I guess I am a contributor to some of the issues.

I don't know if you guys have talked about it already but maybe 20 minute time out rule. If you make no "progress" on the website for 20 minutes (no link clickin') you automatically get signed off? And when you get logged off and you click back on that web page the log off message says something like "Thanks for logging off involuntarily so that others can enjoy the website to its full potential just as you have! Idling for 20 minutes causes a mandatory re-loggon." LOL

I promise I'll stop!!!

If you're online but, not doing anything you're not a problem so don't worry about leaving the pages up. I think the site automatically changes your status to "offline" after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Beer.
