Default Servers laggy, non responsive.

Is it me.... Or is it lately the Tech servers are slow, laggy and say there is a "database problem" whenever you try to do something. Im seeing it more and more. Anybody else notice this?

Ok. Wondered if it was just my machine here. Guess not. Maybe they need a few of Googles new "Black Boxes!!"

Yep happens to me all the time...... I get that database problem error all the time when the servers are experiencing a high volume of traffic. You think with all the vendors that support tech there servers would be perfect.

Here's the deal guys. The servers are great. The software(VBulletin) that Tech and PT run on is the problem. The databases that it supports aren't very good at handling HUGE databases and lots of users.

The Server Admin on here is completely rewriting the VBullentin software so it can use more robust database software. This is no small task though and is taking some time to get right. He has a preliminary version done but, it is getting the bugs worked out right now. Even though there is a prelim version I can't give any timeframe as to when it will be online because it's a huge task to get right.

Just letting you guys know what the problem is and that it is being worked on.

Same here and getting slower everyday. I don't visit as much because it's so frustrating waiting for a page to load.
