Thats what I do on long replies. But you dont have to do all that clicking, just when you get through press ctrl a to highlight all of it, then crtl c to copy it, the alt s to post. No need to click submit just press control alt s and it posts, or if you want to go advanced press alt x. Just helpful tips you learn after 14K posts

Sometimes it happens w/ just a reply. Longer my reply, greater likelihood I'll lose & have to retype. It can be any random topic I reply to or could be a new thread by me. Seems to occur w/o valid reasons even if I'm logged in.
By access, do u mean, i.e. Forced Induction, bla bla...right?
I do not know how to link something. Sorry for the ignorance, I just typically go on internet. This is my 1st venture(PT) @ something different, if u will. Once I get something figured out, I usually retain it, you know. I just don't grasp why this occuring when it seems I've covered my bases.

ok. If you are trying to relpy to or post in a "locked" thread you will get that kind of message. Some of the tech threads ard sticky's are "locked"

To link all you have to do is

-go to the top of the page,
-right click in the address bar and select "copy".
-Then come back here and right click and select "paste"
